Foggy Dress Shop is Officially Open For Business

^^ I loved these buttons and knew I had to incorporate them into the bag’s design ^^Friends…I’ve been waiting for this day since college. Stella ^^ is #4 in the collection that is up for sale! Today is the grand opening! Visit the shop here or click on the “SHOP” tab in the upper right-hand corner.

All proceeds go to my future children’s college education. Or to buy more fabric to make more HoBags. Probably the latter, sorry kids.

I’ll be adding one more bag to the store next week, so check back then.

I love the braided handle ^^

The flap opens, and has two rectangular patches that reinforce the handle.

Shop Projects Lately

Soon I’ll be opening up a little shop (up there in the right-hand corner ^^) and it’ll feature 5 HObags. I’ve finished three so far, but here’s a peek at two of them:

As usual, I want to keep these for myself… good thing I have more of the shirt fabric to make others! What do you think? Do you like them or hate them? It’s okay, I know ~~sometimes~~ I have weird taste. HObags aren’t for everyone, but I hope they appeal to at least 5 of you…hehe. Keep reading for more photos of the bags’ details.

An Anniversary HoBag Giveaway: Part 1 {CLOSED}

It’s been one year since I began blogging at Foggy Dress, and I wanted to do a nice giveaway to a few of you readers! I’m giving away a this beauty, who started out as a vintage blouse: And turned into an awesome HoBag: I sewed on a thrift store belt ^^ and I’m loving the look.

I’m a bit of a perfectionist, and like to make sure it’s sturdy and will last. This bag took about 5-6 hours to make, from figuring out the design, to cutting it, to messing up and starting over, to figuring out how it all sews together, to…

A HObag named ZANE

Remember this gorgeous fabric I instagrammed about? And remember how I started naming my HObags? Just want to make sure you remember everything that has ever gone on in my life. Good. Well look at me I finished her! For some reason the name Zane popped into my head and it stuck. Ok who wants Zane??

I was inspired by all the boxy, big envelop clutches that I covet so much. Although it isn’t as stiff as those, it still holds enough shape to appreciate all those straight lines and edgy corners. UGH this print is jut perfect!

I hope you love Zane as much as I do!!
